Sinead Moynihan is an Occupational Therapist and a Specialist Yoga teacher. Since qualifying from Trinity College Dublin in 2002, her career has spanned many countries and clinical settings. With the arrival of her son in 2010, Sinead settled down near west Cork and turned her focus to paediatrics. Practicing yoga for over 18 years, Sinead knew the vast benefits it brought to her life. Combining yoga and occupational therapy made perfect sense!
Since launching Special Yoga Cork in 2014 Sinead has worked with over 600 kids with additional needs. No diagnosis is too complex. Sinead’s area of expertise is Autism and sensory processing difficulties.

Sinead is registered with the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland and a member of the Paediatric Advisory Group. Sinead was shortlisted for the Ann Beckett Award in 2016. This is the most prestigious Occupational Therapy award given in Ireland.

Colette O’Hanlon Bsc Hons OT

Colette O’Hanlon is a senior Occupational Therapist, who qualified from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown in 1999 and has over 17 years experience working specifically with children. Colette is registered with CORU and is also an AOTI registered practitioner.
As a Paediatric OT Colette aims to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for children who are having difficulty with their every-day tasks (occupations) to help them to thrive at home, school and within their community. Colette has amassed a wealth of experience particularly in the areas of Sensory Integration, motor skills, visual perception, functional assessment and handwriting. She has extensive experience working with children who have physical, sensory and learning difficulties with wide ranging diagnoses including: Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD); Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD); Chromosomal Disorders including Down Syndrome; Developmental Co-Ordination Disorder (DCD/Dyspraxia); Developmental Delay; Executive functioning difficulties; Sensory Processing Difficulties etc as well as children who do not have a diagnosis.

Gina is a qualified Occupational Therapist and Advanced Practitioner in Sensory Integration.
She is conducting PhD research on Sensory integration and children with Autism Spectrum Disorder aged between four and eight years. Gina’s specialist areas include paediatrics and sensory integration. She is based in Co. Cork.
